Jeshika Jaynes  Biography

Hi I am Jeshika Jaynes, I am 15 Years old and I live in the North East of England.
I write and perform music, which you can find on my Spotify account.
I have six singles on there Three which are covers and Three are my own music.

I do not like school life I find it toxic and it’s like been in a Zoo with hissing Hyenas.
I do not fit in as I am not like other girls, yes I like to colour my hair and wear makeup, but I wear it for me, not to impress a boy, don’t get me wrong, I do like boys, but I want my career first and I don’t need a boy to make me feel good, I know I am a strong independent girl on the outside, but in the inside I am anxious and very shy and I struggle with my Mental Health every day, but music and quotes get me through.

My quotes are “We all die inside sometimes” and “Love the air you live in “

Ego was writing because people could not keep there nose out of my life

Give Love Feel Love was writing as other kids were saying nasty things about my little sister who has Down Syndrome.

You was writing as some kids thought it would be a good idea to be nasty and try and destroy my life.

I hate any form of bullying, that is my downfall as I will not sit back and watch others get bullied.

I have been performing since I was eight years old, I have performed at loads of charity events, it makes me feel good inside that I can help others and raise money.

I played at the O2 in Newcastle Up On Tyne when I was 13 and I absolutely loved it, it’s the best feeling in the world seeing people having fun and it is you that is making that happen.

I am a perfectionist every thing has to be in place my set well rehearsed, same with my song writing and producing it can take me up to a year before I will release any music as I am never happy with it. I can never listen to my self on the radio or any streaming platforms, if I walk in any where and I here any of my songs playing I walk out feeling embarrassed.

Have you always been interested in music? What is your story and how did you start making music?
I have been interested in music since the age of 4, I told my Mam that I wanted to go on Britain’s got Talent, so I taught my self to sing

I live in England and I hate school, it is not for me, I don’t like the bullying, I am against bullying it is not for me, I have been bullied most of my school life, all because I wanted to be a singer, I write songs about people who annoy me or who have bullied me .

I entered a companion in England called Teen Idol, you might of heard of it and I was picked at the age of 10 to start a Artists Development Program, that is where I wrote my own music with the help of my brilliant producer, I now have a vocal coach who is also brilliant, I have been working with Zoe Birkett for over a year now and she has helped me to overcome my fear of not been able to hit the notes that I thought I could not do.

What are you working on now? Any future releases we can look forward to?
I am writing a song at the minute, it does not have a total, it’s about been out with your friends and having a good time.

My single “YOU” they explicit version is going to be released in September, as I turn 16 then and it’s a bit more acceptable to swear a little then

I have just recorded a cover of Ironic, which should be out in the next 2 months, I can’t give a date on my own music as I am very conscious about it and I am never happy with it, when it is right my producer will just say enough is enough it’s perfect and then it’s released

What Is Your Ultimate Goal In The Music Industry?
I am wanting to be a recording artist, but I also love doing live shows, the buzz is nothing like you have experienced until you do it.

I am also wanting to perform on the west end.

I am leaving school next year and my plan is to try and attend the Britt School, but if I don’t get in, then go to a local performing arts college and then on to a performing Arts Stage School for my University years. While carrying on performing and writing .

I am looking for a Manager to help me achieve theses things, as I have done as much as I can, I need some help. So if your out there give me a shout

What Has Been The Biggest Challenge In Your Career Thus Far?
My biggest challenge has been to cope with my Mental Health and my Anxiety, I lost my Grandad very suddenly two years ago and he was not very old, he was my biggest supporter and he helped me as much as he could, I am determined to carry on to make him proud

How do you go about writing a song? Do you have a melody in your head and then write the other music for it or what’s Your typical songwriting process?
I sit with my producer in the studio and put down words that I want to say about a situation and then I do some chords , then my producer puts it all together as I like to sing to Piano or Guitar only, then he has the hard job of adding other instruments in to finish it.

Honestly I am useless at putting the words together I just write random things that come into my head,

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
Well with this Lock Down, thank the Lord for the internet .
The Internet had helped me to reach fans across the globe on my Facebook Page, and the majority of my fans come from the Philippines, hi to every one of my fans .

If it hadn’t been for the internet, I think I would of suffered more during this pandemic, as I have two members in my family that are shielders

List some famous musicians currently on your playlist
On my private playlist have loads on my Artist page it is work in progress .

I love a mixture of music, you could say my Listening and my own music is a Dolly mixture.
I love songs from the 50s, 60s 80s 90s I can not listen to the same thing or similar over and over again

What Did You Do Before You Started Making Music?
Well I am just 15 so not a lot, as I have been doing music sinceI was 8, I did my first festival at 9 and my first charity event from the age of 10.

I do love Biology so I might do an A level in this once I finish my Musical Theatre courses

Would you have any advice for young people wanting to follow in your footsteps?
I would say to you all, get use to the word NO, I have had more NO’s then Yes, but never give up keep going, like Tom Cruise says in Cocktails, never give up on your dreams, make it happen. Be prepared to put in hard work

If you could change anything about the music industry, what would it be?
Give every one a chance and make advertising more affordable and stop the scammers taking your money and offering you the stars.

More audio stations need to play a variety of music not just the signed artist, I am my own label, you could say I’m a self employed singer, what’s the difference between a self employed Plummer than me, the industry needs to be more open

How do you feel about originality?
I love originality, find out who you are and stick with it, remember there is nothing wrong with you, it took me awhile to find out my self, I was frightened that no one would accept me for me. I watched bohemian Rhapsody and I new then that I am who I am

Is there anything else we should know about you? or Something that you would like to add?
Yes I can’t dance, I am like Mick Jagger with two left feet,
