I live East Of St. Louis Mo. Currently in Pocahontas, IL. I grew up in Carlyle, IL. I have been working with music over 20 years! I’m almost 40 but still performing and keeping up with these younger artists. I’m married and have kids. I now feel life is too short and there’s definitely an impact I want to make on this great world, our home.
Have you always been interested in music? What is your story and how did you start making music?
I’ve always been interested in music as a kid, growing up, I would get up there on stage as a kid with DJs and Musicians at weddings and events and sing. I guess I loved the attention and all eyes on me. When I was around 23 I wanted to start learning how to play the guitar. I kept at it and then began to start recording myself. I will admit, I really needed some work. ? I then taught myself how to play drums and make beats, from there I kept working, growing, supporting and networking to working with some of best from St. Louis! I am very fortunate and thankful for how far I’ve come and I still love making music to this day!
What are you working on now? Any future releases we can look forward to?
I am currently working on a Dance song next and then a couple of songs that takes us back to the past.
What Is Your Ultimate Goal In The Music Industry?
My ultimate goal is performing in front of thousands of people and bringing people together with my music!
What Has Been The Biggest Challenge In Your Career Thus Far?
My biggest challenge would be the struggle of getting my sound right for myself. If it doesn’t sound right to yourself, then you always have doubts stewing about. When you’re confident, it makes a big difference.
How do you go about writing a song? Do you have a melody in your head and then write the other music for it or what’s Your typical songwriting process?
Yes, It’s happened that way and sometimes I would have the lyrics already wanting to come out but hol up, wait! Gotta get the instrumentals in there first!
How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
I feel it’s has helped artists especially with the whole covid ordeal. But also
it helps to distribute and find music more quickly and helps with promoting.
